I worked at Ursinus College for 38 years (1966 to 2004) as a secretary in various departments - Athletics, Education, Career Services, and Modern Languages. I was unjustly fired from this place that I dedicated a large part of my life to. I have chosen not to include any pictures from this era of my life.
However, one of the things I always wanted to be is a travel agent. For the past 16 years I was a travel agent at Odyssey Travel in Skippack, PA. I had my own little branch called Pixie Dust Tours, and mostly I sold trips to Walt Disney World.
The owner of Odyssey Travel was Shirley Thummel. She passed away on July 11, 2021. She left all of her remaining customers (7) to me. I shared 4 of them with another outside agent at Odyssey. On November 5, 2021, my last Disney customers returned from their trip to the “Land of the Mouse”, and I am officially now retired. In October of 2022, the last of Shirley's customers will have travelled, and Odyssey Travel will no longer exist.
